Winter Wild is Back! #cbhm

Chad Denning, the founder of the Winter Wild series, tragically passed away earlier this year. Chad directed many events in his life but Winter Wild was his brainchild; truly capturing his spirit and energy. Chad Denning was a man of adventure and exploration of all outdoor pursuits and as a tribute to Chad’s legacy, vision, and passion, a small group of his friends will carry on the Winter Wild tradition in his honor.

Winter Wild was born in 2010 at Whaleback Mountain. Inspired by Colorado’s “Up-hilling Series”, Winter Wild consists of getting up and down a mountain as quickly as possible by means of running, skiing or snowboarding, snowshoeing, or hiking the course.

This year’s races will include:
January 31 at Ragged Mountain in Danbury, N.H.
February 14 at Pats Peak in Henniker, N.H.
February 28 at Mount Sunapee in Sunapee, N.H.

[With the full intention of returning to a full series next year]

Chad loved to compete, but more than anything he loved to see people enjoying the outdoors. In that spirit, everyone is encouraged to join in the fun regardless of experience or ability. Whether it’s 40 above or 4 below, and whether the sun is up or hiding behind the mountains, come out and run-for-Chad!
